Chilly Scandinavia, some snow, fairer southern Europe

Thursday
Rain in northwest Spain today. Fair for most of the rest of Spain and Portugal with good spells of sunshine. Further sunshine throughout the central mediterranean. Scattered showers in northwest Italy, although most of the country will be dry. Greece and western Turkey will be dry with more sunshine. Showers in the east of Turkey.
An area of showery rain in northern France, although the south of the country will be drier and brighter. More cloud and some rain followed by showers into the Low Countries. Northern Germany and northern Poland will be cloudy with periods of rain. Southern Germany and the south of Poland will be brighter and drier. Austria and Hungary as well as Switzerland will be dry and bright.
Plenty of cloud and some showery bursts of rain in Denmark. Some rain and sleet as well as brisk winds in the Baltic States. Scattered snow showers for Finland. Sweden will be breezy with a few showers. Heavier and more persistent snow showers as well as gales and cold air afecting much of Norway.

Friday
Cloud and a few showers affecting northern Spain on Friday. Much of central and southern Spain as well as Portugal will be dry with lots of sunshine. Staying sunny across the Balearics, Corsica and Sardinia with Italy seeing lots of sunshine too although there will be a few showers in the north-west. Greece will have a dry day with more sunshine and Turkey will be fine as well with lots of sunshine here.
Plenty of sunshine to come in much of central and northern France, although a windy south with cloud and a few showers. Fine too in the Low Countries and northern Germany as well as northern Poland, although periods of rain in southern Germany and southern Poland. The risk of some rain, sleet and snow across Hungary, Austria and Switzerland. Very windy in Switzerland.
Breezy in Denmark with sunny spells in scattered showers. Some sleet and snow driving into the Baltic states and snow showers for Finland. Sweden should be dry and breezy. Frequent, heavy snow showers affecting western and northern Norway where it will be cold for all.
