Spells of heavy rain moving in to the far west.
Tuesday Staying dry for much of Spain, Portugal and France, although a front lying to the northwest will bring some rain to the far northwest of Spain, also the Brittany region of France. A few showers over the western Mediterranean, but many of the islands should escape mainly dry. Thundery showers locally for southern Italy, but northern Italy and the Alps look dry and sunny. Areas of rain and thundery showers for mainland Greece, Crete, southern Turkey and Cyprus. Showers around the Black Sea and for the southern Balkans but largely dry for Hungary. Dry weather extends across central Europe, including the Low Countries, Germany and Poland. More cloud near North Sea coasts, plus a little drizzly rain for Denmark. Dry for the Baltic states. Patchy rain for southern Sweden and western Finland. Showery and windy for western Norway.
Wednesday Cloudier across Spain and Portugal today with outbreaks of rain affecting the northern regions. Mainly dry across the Balearic islands and Corsica though the odd shower developing across south Sardinia later. Mainly dry across Italy with heavy showers clearing southern parts of Greece. Unsettled with heavy rain for Turkey. Outbreaks of rain affecting western into central areas of France. Dry futher east. Dry with sunny spells across the Low Countries, Germany, Austria and much of eastern Europe. Switzerland will be dry but is likely to see building cloud in the west. Mainly dry through southern regions of Norway, Sweden and Finland with light to moderate breezes. Expect some rain, sleet and snow for some northern regions though with a blustery wind about. Dry and fine for Denmark and the Baltics with good sunny spells.
