Cold and windy north and east but drier and brighter to the west

Saturday
Wednesday is going to be a dry day with lots of sunshine in Spain and Portugal. Scattered showers affecting the Balearics. Further sunshine in Italy and dry here. Heavy periods of rain and showers in Greece with a risk of thunder, hail and some snow. Further heavy and thundery rain in western and southern Turkey. Dry and sunny in the east.
France will have some morning mist patches. These clear to leave the day dry and sunny for most. A few showers in northern and eastern France. Windy and cold with frequent showers in the Low Countries and Germany. Some sleet and snow may affect southern Germany as well as much of Poland. Hungary will have further wintry showers, these merging to longer periods of rain and snow.
Breezy and cold in Denmark. Staying cold with a few wintry showers in the Baltic States. Finland stays cold, a risk of some showers here too. The cold weather continues in Sweden, some wintry showers in the east and south. Heavier snow showers affecting western and northern Norway.

Sunday
Fine day across most of Spain and Portugal. The Balearic Islands will also enjoy plenty of sunshine. Scattered showers affecting Sardinia but Corsica should be dry. Italy will be mostly dry although there may be an odd shower in the south. Greece and Turkey will be dry with lots of sunshine although a few showers affecting Cyprus.
France will have rain in central nd eastern areas. Brighter in the far north and the far south of France. Cold and windy with heavy showers in the Low Countries, these wintry at times. More heavy showers across Germany as well as Poland where there will be turning to sleet and snow. A risk of heavier rain, sleet and snow in Hungary, Austria and Switzerland where there will also be gales.
Windy and cold in Denmark with some heavy showers. Fair for much of Sweden with sunny spells. Sleet and snow in the Baltic States. Mostly fair in Finland but cold. Windy with wintry showers for much of southern and western Norway, probably drier in the far north.
