Fair central and southern areas of Europe with lots of sunshine, but rain and showers in the north

Wednesday
Fair for Portugal and Spain today with plenty of sunshine and dry weather. A fine day too across the Balearics and Italy, lots of sunshine and warm in the west. Greece will be dry but cool in the west although strong winds and rain affecting the east. Cold in Turkey with some heavy showers, snow in central and northern areas.
Drizzle and rain in western France but fine in eastern and southern areas. Rain and cloud for the Low Countries and northern Germany. Windy with some rain in northern Poland. Southern Poland and Germany should be fair. More sunshine in Austria and Hungary as well as Switzerland.
Rain and wind for Denmark and the south of Sweden. Breezy in the Baltic States and dry here. Wind and some snow showers in Finland. Snow in western Sweden, some of it heavy.

Thursday
Thunderstorms and heavy periods of rain across Spain and Portugal, some torrential downpours. Brighter in the Balearics and dry here. Italy will be dry with sunny spells. Fair for western Greece with some sunny spells. Rain in eastern Greece with heavy showers in Turkey.
Fair and dry in France with sunny spells, some showers in the far northwest. Broken cloud and some bright spells in the Low Countries. Cloud in Germany, mostly the north with rain, brighter to the south. Poland will have broken cloud and should be dry for most. Hungary and Austria as well as Switzerland should be dry with sunny spells.
Cloud and rain for Denmark, some of it heavy. Further rain and some sleet for the Baltic States. Breezy and sleety in Finland. Some sleet and rain in southern Sweden but dry in other areas. Rain for the south of Norway, drier and brighter in central areas.
