Cc floccus

Cirrocumulus floccus consist of tiny tufts of cloud, with rounded heads and ragged bases. They may appear in large numbers spreading across the entire sky. However, if the tufts are shaped as rounded turrets they are known as cirrocumulus castellanus, which are hard to see when the cloud is high overhead. They are a sign of upper air instability and are heralding possible thunderstorms later on.
