Winter showers easing for central Europe
Staying dry, bright and relatively cool in the western Med

Through the coming two days, wintry precipitation will ease for parts of central Europe though Scandinavia will see the arrival of a new weather system bearing snow later on Monday. The western Mediterranean will remain dry and bright over the coming few days while the eastern Mediterranean will see the continuation of some rather unsettled weather


Sunday
A fair but chilly day across northern Spain and Portugal on Sunday. Chilly over eastern coasts of Spain too. The risk of an isolated shower in the Balearics. Fair for Corsica and Sardinia. Some showers in central and southern Italy but fair to the north. Cold with some rain in Greece whilst Turkey has a mix of rain and snow.
France should be dry with some mist or fog patches in the west. Dry in the east of France but chilly here. Cold in the Low Countries and most of Germany too with some snow showers in the south and west. Poland should be dry with sunny spells. Hungary and Austria as well as Switzerland will have some snow showers.
A chilly day with broken cloud in Denmark, some rain in the west. The Baltic States should be dry and cold. A chilly day in Finland but dry. Staying mainly dry in Sweden with a chance of scattered shower in the south while Norway will have rain and snow affecting western and northern coasts and hills.


Monday
Monday continues dry but cool for Portugal and Spain while it will be rather overcast to start for the Balearics. Brightening later and bright too for Corsica and Sardinia. Wintry showers continue through the morning for central and southern Italy but should dry up by the afternoon to leave a dry and fine day. A mix of rain and snow showers continues for Greece and Turkey.
Staying dry for France but overcast for northern and western areas, brighter in the south. Overcast too for the Low Countries. Rain and snow will ease over central Germany leaving broken cloud behind while a band of snow and wintry precipitation will work southeastward across Poland. Snow easing for Austria while it should be a dry and bright day for the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary.
An overcast day for Denmark before a band of heavy rain moves in from the North Sea through the evening. Finland and the Baltics will see a band of mixed wintry precipitation move from west to east through the morning and into the afternoon. Clearer skies will follow. An area of low pressure will bring high winds and heavy rain and snowfall to southern parts of Norway and Sweden through Monday afternoon and evening.
