Saturday
A frontal system across western Europe brings heavy rain to central and southern France, spreading into the western Alps, and also affecting western Germany, Denmark and southern Norway. Some thundery bursts along this zone of wet weather. Strong south-easterly winds for southern Scandinavia. Dry for areas surrounding the Baltic, although a lot of cloud for central Sweden.
A few showers around the English Channel, but much of west & northern France becomes brighter as pressure builds into Biscay. Cooler than previous days here at 20C. Cloudy with some rain for northern Spain. Hot and sunny in southern Spain and Portugal, 33C in Andalucia and the Algarve. Dry and sunny for much of Italy and the Balkans although a few thunderstorms may linger around the far south of Italy. Thunderstorms for parts of Greece , Turkey and southern Bulgaria. Extensive dry weather across eastern Europe and the Baltic region as high pressure remains in charge.


Sunday
Hot and dry again for southern Spain and Portugal, topping 30C. Nearer 20C around the Biscay Costas. Cloudy and dull for France and the Low Countries, with rain and drizzle spreading from the west. Southern France may stay brighter.
A few thunderstorms for the Mediterranean islands, plus central Italy. Scattered showers for the Greek Islands too. High pressure remains across north-eastern Europe, maintaining settled westher for many countries from the Balkans to the Baltic. Temperatures 18 to 20C for Hungary and Poland, but cooler with more cloud for the Baltic states and Belarus.
The remnants of a front brings cloud and patchy rain to Germany and the Alps. Some rain in southern Scandinavia, turning very heavy later in south-west Norway. Brighter in the far north.
