Saturday
Slack pressure exists across Europe, with generally warm and humid conditions producing further slow-moving zones of thunderstorms. Downpours will break out inland in Spain, whilst many Costas will stay dry. Portugal is likely to be dry and sunny with a northwesterly breeze, highs 24C. Clusters of thunderstorms for central Europe, these quite scattered for France and Germany, but breaking out extensively across the Alps, also Poland and Slovakia. Local downpours too in the Balkans and mainland Greece . Areas near the Black Sea will be dry. Much of the Mediterranean also sunny and dry, temperatures approaching 30C. Some thunder for the southern Baltic states, otherwise Scandinavia stays dry. Hot in southern Sweden, up to 30C. Much cooler in the far north, around 13C for northern Norway.


Sunday
A cluster of thunderstorms is expected to move across eastern Spain toward the Balearics on Saturday night. Dry and sunny for southern Spain and most of Portugal, 27C in Andalucia. Thundery downpours are then likely for north-east Spain and southern France during Sunday. The north-west of France may also catch some heavy rain. North-east France, the Low Countries and western Germany should be dry and sunny. Scattered thundery showers for the Alps. More widely thundery for southern Poland, Slovakia and northern Romania. Italy and Greece are likely to stay dry, whilst showers will break out for the Balkans. Widely very warm across central and southern Europe, 25 to 30C or above. Hot again in southern Sweden. A strengthening breeze for Norway, and showery rain will move into northern parts of Scandinavia.
