Windy across Scandinavia, wet in west

Tuesday
Portugal is mainly dry and fine as well as much of Spain although some showers affect the eastern Costas. Some patchy rain across the far northwest of Spain too. Mainly dry for the Balearic islands. Sunny spells but rather windy for Corsica and Sardinia as well as Italy but any lingering rain should clear from the south later.
Low pressure over the eastern Med brings heavy and thundery rain across Greece and Turkey. Snow over the mountains, also affecting Bulgaria and parts of the Balkans. Windy around the Black Sea.
Thicker cloud and patchy rain across the very far north of France into coastal areas of the Low Countries, drier elsewhere. Low cloud and mist but dry conditions for Germany as well as Poland under high pressure. Dry through Switzerland and Austria.
Rain moving into western parts of Denmark. Windy with gales across north Norway with wintry showers here but drier and calmer further south. Cloudy through central and southern Sweden but mainly dry. Some patchy rain affecting Finland. Dry though with some possible mist and fog patches affecting the Baltics.

Wednesday
Mainly dry for Spain and Portugal, warmest in the southwest. Patchy showers along some southern coasts and for the Balearics. Odd heavy showers for Sardinia and Sicily. Areas of thundery showers for the Greek islands with heavy rain and mountain snow for Turkey as low pressure drifts eastwards.
High pressure resides over central and northwestern Europe bringing extensive fine weather but areas of low cloud and fog likely to persist for parts of France, Germany and the Low Countries. Dry weather through the Alps and into Italy. Also dry across much of eastern Europe with chilly air across Poland, Belarus and Ukraine. Staying sub-zero through the day.
Southwesterly gales across Scandinavia brings heavy rain and mountain snow to western Norway, but mainly dry conditions for Sweden and Finland. Local showers for northern Finland and the Baltic states.
