An unsettled spell of weather for western Europe; thundery outbreaks for Germany on Monday


Monday
A mostly bright and dry day for Portugal and Spain though cloud will build from the northwest through the day bringing showers to northwestern Spain later in the day. Isolated showers affecting the Balearic Islands, Corsica, Sardinia and northern parts of Italy. A dry and bright day in the south of the country. Mostly bright and warm for Greece with thundery showers developing through the afternoon in the west. Frequent thundery showers for western Turkey, drier and brighter to the northwest.
Further showers for France on Monday spreading to the north and east into Benelux and Germany. Some of these may be heavy and thundery. Heavy rain continuing to affect parts of Switzerland. Isolated showers for western parts of the Czech Republic and Poland, drier and brighter in the east and for Austria and Hungary.
Breezy with some heavy showers for Denmark. A mixture of cloudy skies and sunny spells for the Baltic States but staying mostly dry. Showers for northern parts of Norway, Sweden and Finland with some heavier bursts of rain for southeastern Sweden. Dry and mostly bright elsewhere across Scandinavia.

Tuesday
Some rain around for northern parts of Spain on Tuesday morning, this easing through the afternoon though some heavier bursts could linger for Catalonia. Dry and bright elsewhere across Iberia and for the Balearic Islands. A mixture of showers, cloudy skies and sunshine for Corsica, Sardinia and Italy. Showers most frequent for northern areas. Thundery showers affecting western Greece and much of Turkey too through Tuesday though there will be good sunny spells in between.
Continuing rather mixed for France, the Low Countries and Germany on Tuesday. Widespread showers affecting the region with the heaviest showers over eastern France. Some heavy bursts of rain affecting eastern Germany and western Poland too. Isolated showers and good sunny spells for Switzerland, Austria, the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Dry and bright for Hungary.
A wet start to the day for Denmark but brightening by the evening. Mostly dry and bright for the Baltics with just an isolated shower or two for Lithuania. A band of heavy rain will affect southern and central parts of Sweden and Norway. Dry and bright to the north and for Finland.
