Mediterranean largely dry. Thundery showers over central Europe. Staying unsettled over Scandinavia.


Tuesday
Hot and sunny again for Portugal and Spain with thunderstorms becoming more widespread on Tuesday afternoon affecting Portugal as well as western and central parts of Spain. Hot, dry and sunny conditions extend to the Balearic Islands, Corsica, Sardinia, Italy, the Balkans, Greece, Cyprus and Turkey.
Dry and fine for northern France, hot to the south with thunderstorms developing here later. Mostly dry and fine too for the Low Countries, Germany and Poland though isolated showers may affect northern coasts. Showers, some locally heavy, developing over the Alps in southern Germany, Switzerland and Austria. Sunny spells and thundery showers for the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hugary.
Low pressure continues to bring mixed conditions to northern Europe. Rain spreads east and north from central Sweden over northern Sweden, Finland and the Baltic States allowing spells of sunshine and frequent scattered showers to move in from the west over Norway and Denmark. Spreading to all areas later. Windy through the Baltic States in particular.

Wednesday
Showers clearing Portugal to allow for a mostly dry and sunny day here. Thundery showers still affecting parts of Spain with these possibly affecting the westernmost Balearic Islands. Dry, hot and sunny still for Sardinia, Siciliy and much of Italy as well as Turkey and Greece.
Thundery showers will affect southern France still through Wednesday but northern France will be dry with sunshine. Sunny spells and patchy cloud for much of Germany as well as the Low Countries with the risk of some light rain but mainly dry. Thundery outbreaks of rain for Austria and Switzerland as well as Hungary. Croatia should remain dry with sunshine. Further east there will be some cloud but mostly dry.
Low pressure over Scandinavia will bring spells of rain to mainly western parts of Norway as well as northern Sweden and across much of Finland. The best of the sunnier spells over southern parts of Norway and Sweden. Breezy with blustery showers across the Baltic States. Breezy but mostly dry for Denmark.
