A cluster of thunderstorms lies south of Italy, affecting Sicily, also Malta. Dry for Greece and the Black Sea. A waft of warm air extends across Poland into the Baltic, nudging 20C in Sweden. Wet in southern Norway, otherwise dry across Scandinavia.

Monday
Low pressure over eastern Spain produces heavy rain, which moves across the Balearics and pushes into southern France where prolonged torrential rain is possible, triggering flooding. Another low (the remnants of Hurricane Michael which has moved rapidly across the Atlantic) brings heavy bursts of rain and gusty winds to north-western Spain. Southern Spain and Portugal should be dry and warm, 25C.
Low pressure over the southern North Sea brings rain and gusty winds to the Netherlands, at least part of the day. Rain also affects southern Norway, but the Baltic stays dry and warm with southerly winds. Eastern Europe also remains extensively dry and warm, with high pressure in charge. Thunderstorms continue to affect the far south of Italy and the central Mediterranean.
