Dry northern Scandinavia

Saturday
High pressure extends across southwestern Europe, with plenty of dry and warm weather for Spain, Portugal and France. Local thundery showers breaking out in eastern Spain, and locally across the north and east France in the afternoon. Generally dry across the central Mediterranean and much of Italy, with a chance of a local shower. Greece and Cyprus will be mainly dry.
Unsettled across central and eastern Europe beneath generally low pressure. Areas of thundery downpours breaking out across southern Germany, Austria, plus the Balkan states, Poland, Hungary and Romania. Northern Germany and the Low Countries generally drier with sunshine.
High pressure resides over northern Scandinavia, with dry and warm weather for Finland and much of Norway and Sweden, although some showers will break out over southern areas, plus Denmark. Heavy bursts of rain for the Baltic states with a brisk easterly wind, but warm and humid.

Sunday
Staying dry, sunny and warm for Spain and Portugal, with the warmest temperatures in the south and west. A little rain across the north and west of France as a weak front moves through here. Southern France and the Mediterranean islands stay mostly dry. A few showers for central Italy and mainland Greece.
Low pressure and thundery downpours continue to affect eastern Europe, with prolonged rain likely for eastern Poland, western Ukraine, Romania and Hungary. Showers in the Alpine region, and scattered showers for central Germany and the Low Countries.
Rain affects the south of Norway and locally southern Sweden. Mainly dry for Denmark. High pressure stays to the north, with plenty of warm sunshine for Finland and Arctic regions. Staying breezy for the Baltic states, but drier overall.
