Thunderstorms for some southern parts

Still some hot weather in the south but becoming cooler and fresher in the north


Friday
Much of Spain and Portugal dry and sunny but with showers or thundery rain in the north and east, extending to the Balearics. Sunshine for Corsica, Sardinia, Italy and the Adriatic too but with heavy showers, perhaps thundery, developing for a time. Isolated showers in Greece and Turkey but mostly dry with a lot of sunshine.
Rain or showers extending from Central France toward the Low Countries, with localized thunderstorms edging east, while heavy rain and thunderstorms will also break out for Switzerland and Austria. Further south and east, towards the Balkan States, sunny spells with only isolated showers.
Heavy rain over Denmark and northwest Germany moving east, becoming lighter and showery, while much of Poland stays dry. Areas of rain across Norway, Sweden and Finland. The Baltic States will stay dry and fairly sunny, though.
Still very warm or hot across Southern and Central Europe with highs in the high 20s to low 30s and locally near to 35C but becoming cooler and fresher further to the north and west with values typically in the high teens to low 20s.


Saturday
Showers in the east, locally thundery at first, extending across into the Balearics but once again much of Spain and Portugal dry and sunny. Some sunshine for Corsica, Sardinia, Italy and the Adriatic too but heavy, perhaps thundery showers return for a time. Isolated showers in Greece and Turkey, mainly in the north but largely dry with spells of sunshine. .
Dry for most of France and the Low Countries with sunny spells, just perhaps a few showers in the southeast. Thunderstorms break out once more across Switzerland, Austria and Southern Germany but the north of Germany will be dry, with only isolated showers for Poland. The more Central and Southeastern parts will have spells of sunshine and a scattering of showers.
Rain, moving into Norway will spread across Northern Denmark, Sweden and Finland later but Southern Denmark and the Baltic States will be drier with just a few showers.
Remaining very warm or hot across Southern and Central Europe with highs in the high 20s to low 30s and locally near to 35C but cooler and fresher once more further to the north and west with values typically in the high teens to low 20s.
