Fair Mediterranean, plenty of sunshine. Showers and rain in northern Europe


Thursday
Another dry and sunny day across Portugal and for the majority of Spain although heavy and thundery downpours look to affect the northern regions. Drier today across the Balearic Islands although Sardinia could see more in the way of cloud and possible showers as well as southern Italy. Largely dry for Sicily. Dry and fine across Greece and Turkey.
Largely dry across France although the same as yesterday with heavy thundery downpours expected across more southern regions. Germany too should be largely dry but with possible heavy and thundery downpours in the far south. The Low Countries will see more in the way of cloud about with the potential for some light and patchy rain. Austria, Hungary and Croatia will see some rain, often heavy and thundery again. Sunny spells and some scattered showers about across eastern Europe.
Low pressure remains over Scandinavia although the majority of the heavier and more persistent rain will affect northern parts of Norway and Sweden. Finland will see rain in the morning but should become drier during the afternoon. Drier and brighter across southern Norway and Sweden. Staying unsettled with showers across the Baltic States.

Friday
Fair and very warm over most of Spain and Portugal today. Another fair day in the Balearics as well as Corsica and Sardinia. Italy is looking fine overall, although some heavy thunderstorms could develop in the far north. Greece should be dry with lots of sunshine and it will be staying dry and sunny over Turkey.
Rain in northern France but fine in central and southern areas. Further rain in the Low Countries and northern Germany. Fair for most of Poland, but some heavy thunderstorms in the south. Torrential thunderstorms across Hungary and Austria as well as Switzerland.
Cloudy with some rain for Denmark. Further rain in southern Sweden as well as across most of the Baltic States. Finland will have rain and showers. Further showers affecting northern parts of Sweden. Norway will have heavy showers in the north, but should be fair to the south.
