European forecast - 2018年7月8日
Plenty of Dry Weather
Scattered Thunderstorms

Issued: 0530hrs Sunday 8th July 2018
Duty forecaster: Matthew Hugo

SCattered thunderstorms for more southern and eastern areas of Europe, a lot of fine weather and warm or very warm for most.

Sunday
During Sunday and winds remain more N'ly across parts of Scandinavia, especially Sweden and Finland so quite cool here and also cool, for the time of year down into Poland and some other north-eastern areas of Europe. Fine weather persists across the UK, extending into northern areas of France. Spain and Portugal remain hot with sunny spells but afternoon downpours and thunderstorms are likely here. Many central and southern areas of Europe then experience plenty of dry weather with very warm or hot spells of sunshine but afternoon thunderstorms are possible, perhaps especially down central areas of Italy, into the Balkans and also across parts of Greece and Turkey still.

Monday
Into Monday and high pressure continues to dominate across the UK and down into France with plenty of fine and very warm weather here. A weak area of low pressure may bring some showers or spells of rain to more southern areas of Norway and Sweden, perhaps Denmark too through the course of the day. Much of Europe though will be void of any active weather systems and that does mean plenty of dry weather with spells of very warm summer sunshine. However, further scattered afternoon heavy showers or downpours are likely across inland areas of Spain and Portugal, perhaps parts of Italy, the Balkans and into some eastern areas of the Med too.
