Heavy showers in central Europe, fine for Italy and Greece


Wednesday
Further thundery outbreaks are likely for northern Spain and Portugal, whilst southern Iberia stays hot and dry. Generally dry for France and Italy, with lots of sunshine across the Mediterranean, near or over 30C for many places. Also hot and sunny again for Greece.
Areas of rain for Belgium and southern Germany. Northern Germany, Poland and Denmark should be dry. A few showers popping up over the Alps. Unsettled for central & south-eastern Europe, with slow-moving thundery downpours developing. Patchy rain lingers around southern Norway, and the Baltic states keep a risk of rain, which extends to Finland. Much of Sweden stays dry, warm again in the south, into the mid-20s Celsius.


Thursday
Showery rain over northern Spain on Thursday, a few showers in northern Portugal too. Fair for southern Spain and Portugal with lots of sunshine. More sunshine to come in the Balearics and for Corsica and Sardinia too. Sunshine and dry in much of Italy and staying fine for Greece and much of Turkey. Some showers in eastern Turkey later.
France will have showery, sometimes thundery rain in the south, but fair in the north with sunshine. Cool for the Low Countries with scattered showers whilst northern Germany stays cool and wet. Poland will be dry with sunny spells. Austria and Hungary will have sunny spells whilst some heavy thunderstorms affect Switzerland.
Scattered showers in Denmark with rain in southern Norway. Northern Norway and most of Sweden will be dry with sunshine. Remaining fair in the Baltic States and Finland for most although scattered showers could break out.
