Tuesday
An area of low pressure develops across western Europe, bringing heavy rain and thunderstorms to France, spreading north & east into the Low Countries, western Germany and Switzerland. Fresher air follows from the west across France, highs 20 to 24C. Ahead of the rain it will reach a humid 26 to 29C in east & southern Germany and the Czech Republic.
Hot weather continues across southern Europe. Dry and sunny for Spain and Portugal. Breezy in western Iberia. 33 to 38C again for Italy, and heat rebuilds across the Balkans, climbing back into the 30s too. Isolated afternoon showers for mainland Greece .
High pressure brings extensive dry and warm weather to eastern Europe and the Baltic region, 22 to 25C. Showery for northern Scandinavia. A bright day for southern Norway. Breezy in Denmark, with rain later spreading from the south.


Wednesday
Rain extends into southern Scandinavia overnight and into the daytime, some thundery bursts, and staying wet across southern Norway most of the day. Drier around the Baltic with high pressure centred over western Russia.
Unsettled and thundery for France. Outbreaks of rain for the Low Countries, but Germany should be dry and warm. A surge of heat pushes back across eastern Europe from the south, 30C in Poland, and heading back toward 40C in Hungary and the Balkans. Hot again across Italy and Greece. A few afternoon storms for the Alps and Pyrenees. Local showers also for eastern Spain, but much of Iberia stays dry, although breezy in the north-west. Reaching 35C in southern Portugal and south-west Spain.
